S R12+ – Ralon™ Leech Line for Membrane Sails
Capella S R12+ is a single-braided 12-strand rope of treated Ralon™ (HMPE), part of Capella’s Sailmaker range and the perfect leech line for high-tech membrane sails. Its extremely low stretch means the leech tension you set stays put, so the sail holds its designed shape through gusts and long races.
S R12+ combines a high breaking strength with very light weight, which keeps weight out of the sail, and the treated fibre resists abrasion inside the leech tunnel. It is easy to splice and is finished with Capella’s HPS and UCS treatments. Sailmakers use it for leech and foot lines on performance sails.
