Tube Thimble
The Capella Tube Thimble is formed from tube rather than flat strip, which gives a deep, rounded groove and a strong, rigid shape. Spliced into the eye of a rope, it stops the eye from being crushed or chafed by a shackle, chain or bollard.
The smooth, even bearing surface spreads the load around the eye, which helps the rope keep more of its strength. Tube thimbles suit mooring lines, anchor lines and dock lines that see heavy, repeated loads.
