Splicing Fids Set
Fids are among the most important tools for splicing rope. The Capella Splicing Fids Set includes three hollow fids for 6 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm rope. The rope tail sits inside the hollow end while the pointed tip opens a path through the braid or between the strands.
Use them to form eyes in hollow braid rope and three-strand twisted rope, and to make neat tucked splices without damaging the fibres. They are a must-have for riggers, sailors and anyone who makes their own mooring and dock lines.
